Born in Guantánamo (Cuba), he studied the career in Music specialising
in percussion by the “Instituto superior” of Arts of La Habana.
Third Prize in the Festival Amadeo Roldan 1983 and mention to the best interpretation of Cuban Music.
First prize and mention by the performance of his Work in the Contest Esteban Salas 1990 in Santiago de Cuba.
His Work remains in the archive for assemblies of festivals and contests of percussion of the Upper Medium Level. He is currently a member of the Company of the Cuban Percussionists Studies with the best teachers of Cuba, like Enrique Plá, Founder of IRAKERE, or Luis first percussionist of the National Orchestra of Cuba.
